Outcome 27.10: Cancer Patient Money and Fuel Prices

The government has donated funds allocated for cancer diagnosis to other projects; Prices of all types of fuel have increased in Ukraine. Korrespondent.net highlights yesterday’s major events.

The Cabinet of Ministers redistributed money from the program for cancer patients

The Cabinet of Ministers has redirected more than 100 million hryvnia from the budget program of the Ministry of Health on the improvement of molecular genetic diagnosis of cancer. The funds were transferred to the projects of the Ministry of Education (33 million), for the development of roads in the Lviv region (almost 62 million) and for the project of the Ministry of Energy (10 million).

However, this reallocation will allow the unfinished project on cancer patients to be fully implemented next year, the government explained.

In Ukraine, the network of gas stations increased the cost of fuel.

The main operators in the retail fuel market have raised the prices of all types of fuels. Thus, the cost of diesel fuel increased by 20-50 kopecks per liter, gasoline – 20-60 kopecks, liquefied autogas – 15-50 kopecks. In some service station networks, prices increased by an average of 3-6 kopecks.

Coronavirus outbreak in the president’s office

In the case of the purchase of low-quality bulletproof vests for the army, investigators from the State Bureau of Investigation established that officials of the Ministry of Defense purchased Corsair MZs-1-4 bulletproof vests, which did not meet the technical requirements and they were shot. Damage to the state budget of Ukraine amounted to almost 42 million hryvnia.
