The party’s Golos Serhiy Pritula mayoral candidate in Kiev expressed hope that the current head of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, saw during the election campaign that the townspeople did not like it.

The candidate for mayor of Kiev of the party “Voice” Serhiy Pritula on his page on Facebook On October 27, he congratulated his rival in the elections, the current head of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, on his victory.

“I hope that Mr. Klitschko has heard and seen during this campaign that the people of Kiev do not like the city. And he will work to solve these problems more successfully than during the previous cadence,” Pritula said.

He tHe also commented on the result of another mayoral candidate, whose name he did not give. But, probably, we are talking about Alexander Popov from the “Opposition Platform – For Life”, who, according to preliminary data, obtained the highest number of votes after Klitschko.

“It is extremely sad to affirm the fact that in the seventh year of the war in the capital of a belligerent country such a high result from a representative of an openly pro-Russian political force is possible. It is a cold shower for our society,” Pritula said .

He also added that with respect to participation “the work is endless

“Of course, the pandemic factor influenced participation. But much more attendance at polling stations was influenced by the total disappointment of the people that they can influence something with their voice, and the ignorance of what powers were transferred from the central government to localities due to decentralization. ” Pritula added.



On October 25, local elections were held throughout Ukraine, except for annexed Crimea and the occupied regions of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Citizens of Ukraine elected heads of cities, towns and municipalities, as well as deputies of regional, district, city, town and village councils. The elections were held for the first time in accordance with the new Electoral Code, according to the proportional system with open lists.

According to the Central Election Commission of Ukraine, the turnout was 36.88% (in Kiev – 34.42%).

Data from the exit poll, conducted as part of a joint project between the Savik Shuster studio and Ukraine 24 television channel, showed that in the second round of the elections the mayor of Kiev came Klitschko with 45.93% and Popov with 9.62%. In third place is the candidate of the Servant of the People Irina Vereshchuk (8.53%), in fourth – Alexey Kucherenko of Batkivshchina (7.82%), in fifth – Pritula de Golos (7.27%).

The exit poll of the Sociological Group “Rating” showed that Klitschko obtained 47.8%, and Popov, 8.6%, Pritula – 8.3%.

At the same time, the Interfax-Ukraine agency reported that after counting 67% of the ballots, Klitschko gets 51% of the votes and there will be no second electoral round.

According to a survey carried out by the Institute for the Development of Society at the request of the UDAR party, Klitschko also wins the mayoral elections in the first round with 50.2% of the votes.

A parallel tally by Klitschko’s headquarters showed that he received 50.9% of the vote and his UDAR party, 19.7%.
