Most of the residents of the capital who attended the elections voted for the incumbent mayor
The results of the official vote count in the mayoral elections practically coincided with the data from the exit poll and the parallel count.
The mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, obtained 50.6% of the votes and, therefore, wins the elections in the first round. This was reported on Monday, October 26, by the Left Bank edition with reference to the results of the scrutiny of 99.5% of the votes.
According to him, 364,683 voters voted for Klitschko.
In second place is the former head of the Kiev city state administration, Alexander Popov, with 9.5% of the vote. Sergei Pritula got 7.8%, Aleksey Kucherenko – 6.3%, Irina Vereshchuk – 5.4%, Andrey Palchevsky – 5.3%.
In the elections to the Kiev City Council, UDAR and European Solidarity received 20% each, Unity – 8.6%, HLS – 7.7%, Batkivshchyna and Servant of the People – 7.4% each, Golos – 5, 9%.
Earlier, Klitschko’s polling station said, citing exit poll data, that the current mayor wins in the first round in the first round with a score of 50.2%.
