Naftogaz sharply increased gas prices for heating and energy

“As of October 2020, the wholesale price of natural gas for heat producers to which NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine supplies gas with special rights (PSO) is 5,374.1 UAH per 1000 cubic meters (excluding VAT and gas transportation costs main and distribution pipelines) “, – said in the message.

The NJSC recalled that the price of gas for heat producers is calculated in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of October 19, 2018 No. 867, taking into account changes in prices (prices) in the centers of European gas.

“During the period used for the calculations, natural gas prices in Europe increased by 26% compared to September prices due to increased demand. However, due to significant reserves in underground gas storage in Ukraine , the price of gas for heat producers in October increased compared to last month by 24% ”, said the company.

Naftogaz recalled that until May 1, 2021, it supplies natural gas to heat producers who are subject to the JI and have entered into the corresponding natural gas supply contracts.

As a reminder, in September, Naftogaz increased the price of heating and energy by 45% at the same time compared to August.
