Second round of local elections

But the presidential faction denied this initiative, assuring that they were not going to pause the electoral process. Kiev

The exit polls show that for the post of mayor of Kiev, the fight will continue in the second round… According to a study by Savik Shuster and Ukraine 24 study, Vitali Klitschko is 4% short before the final victory. According to the exit poll by the Rating group, which also measured the vote in the capital, it lacks 3%.

Klitschko obtained 45.93% (according to Shuster and Ukraine24) and 47.8% (according to the “Rating”). He will compete with the candidate of the Opposition Platform – For Life, the former head of the State Administration of the City of Kiev, Alexander Popov, who received 9.62%. Lviv

The second round is likely to take place in Lviv. According to the results of the exit poll on Sunday, the current mayor of the city ranked first Andrey Sadovoy with 41.12% of the votes. Dnieper

Krivoy rog

How it was in the 2015 elections

In the last local elections in 2015 in the capital the mayor was also elected in two rounds. Then, the current mayor Vitali Klitschko defeated the former popular deputy Borislav Bereza with a score of 64.1% against 32.3%.

In Lviv Andrei Sadovy was less than one percent short of an immediate win in the first round. In the second round, he ran for mayor with Ruslan Koshulinsky and won with a result of 61.1% against 36.8%.

Odessa residents gave 51.93% for Gennady Trukhanov in the first round. His main rival, Aleksandr Borovik, received 24.6% from the then ruling BPP-Solidarity party.
