Trukhanov wins Odessa mayor election, second round will be – Shuster study exit poll

In the second round of the Odessa mayor elections, current mayor Gennady Trukhanov and “Opposition Platform – For Life” candidate Nikolai Skoryk are running, reports the Savik Shuster study with reference to their exit poll.

In the elections for the mayor of Odessa, the current head of the city, Gennady Trukhanov, obtained the most votes. This is shown by the data from the exit poll carried out as part of a joint project by the Savik Shuster studio and Ukraine 24 television channel, reports the GORDON correspondent.

Trukhanov, representative of the political force Trust Deeds, received 34.4% of the votes.

In second place, with 17.93%, is the candidate of the “Opposition Platform – For Life” Nikolai Skoryk. These two candidates can qualify for the second round.

The five leaders also included Oleg Filimonov of Servant of the People (13.75%), Petr Obukhov of European Solidarity (12.52%) and Serhiy Kivalov of Serhiy Kivalov’s Sea Party of Ukraine (5.44%).

On October 25, 2020, local elections were held throughout Ukraine, except for annexed Crimea and the occupied areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, the voting ended at 8:00 p.m. The citizens of Ukraine elect the heads of cities, towns and municipalities, as well as the deputies of regional, district, city, town and village councils. The elections were held for the first time in accordance with the new Electoral Code, according to the proportional system with open lists.
