Voting in local elections ended in Ukraine
The PO noted that, in general, local elections met the highest standards of democracy.
The Office of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy summarized the voting results in local elections and promised to restore constitutional order to all territories temporarily not controlled by Ukraine. This is stated in the message of the OP’s press service, published on Sunday night, October 25.
In the office of the head of state, they noted that, in general, the elections complied with the highest democratic standards and current legislation, and stressed that the vote counting would also be honest, professional and impeccable.
“Certain violations, which were recorded by law enforcement officers, must be investigated and receive a fair judicial response. There was no interference in the electoral process by state authorities and officials of Ukraine,” the OP said.
In addition, Zelensky addressed the Ukrainians living in the temporarily occupied territories. They were promised to hold elections after the liberation of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, which are now not controlled by Ukraine.
“After complete unemployment, the restoration of completely safe conditions for life and political work, after the withdrawal from the territory of Ukraine of all illegal armed formations and forces of the aggressor state, elections will be held,” the message says.
Let us remind you that voting in local elections has ended in Ukraine. According to the OPORA Civic Network, voter turnout was almost 36%.
