The absolute world lightweight champion, American boxer Teofimo López, recounted how, after a fight with the Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko, he approached him and said it was a good fight.

The absolute world lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez is not going to give revenge to the former world champion in three weight classes, the Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko. He spoke about this in a BoxingScene comment on October 23.

“For what [давать реванш Ломаченко]? Fuck it. I won with honesty and clarity. Not only did I beat him, I won after 10 months of inactivity, having dealt with the one who was called the best, regardless of weight class, “quoted by his post.

Lopez said that after the fight he reached out to Lomachenko and thanked him for a good fight. He hugged his father Anatoly and wished him a safe journey. Lomachenko did not respond to Lopez politely and laughed at him, the American boxer said.

“It’s his business, I kicked his ass. He cut me, hit me with the head and did other things, but that’s okay.” Lopez commented.

Regarding the absence of Lomachenko in the press conference, López said that “he only says that he is a champion.”

“Now I am a king. I always have been. I was an unknown king. But now I have passed the coronation,” the edition quotes the words of López.

The fight between Lomachenko and López lasted all 12 rounds. By unanimous decision of the judges, López won: 116: 112, 119: 109, 117: 111. Now López is the owner of the WBA, WBO, WBC and IBF championship belts (the first three belts belonged to Lomachenko) .

Lomachenko refused to admit defeat to Lopez on points.

This is the second defeat in the Ukrainian’s career: in March 2014, he lost to Mexican Orlando Salido, also by decision of the judges.
