The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine gave recommendations on how to vote safely in local elections during quarantine restrictions. The vote will take place today, October 25.
This was reported by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada.
Note that in local elections, Ukrainians elect: deputies of regional, district, municipal, municipal and village councils, as well as city, town and village heads.
Voters are advised to adhere to the following anti-epidemic measures:
- take your own pen with you;
- before entering and leaving the site, treat your hands with an antiseptic;
- stay indoors only with a mask;
- keep a distance of at least 1.5 meters.
Note that Ukraine switched to winter time on the day of the local elections. The hands of the clock went back an hour.
RBC-Ukraine also wrote that police officers in Ukraine received 891 reports of rape on the “day of silence” before local elections. Most of the messages are related to illegal campaigns.
