Local elections have started in Ukraine: polling stations opened at 08:00 and will close at 20:00 on Sunday, October 25.
In local elections, new compositions of village, settlement, city, district and region councils are elected. In addition, the re-election of mayors, village heads and settlements takes place every five years.
This year, elections will be held throughout the country, except in territories temporarily not controlled by the Donbass government and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. In particular, the CEC canceled the elections in 18 communities in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, by decision of the civil-military administrations of these regions.
As a reminder, Facebook ads cost the parties millions of dollars. The electoral campaign on the social network was particularly intense in the last days before the vote.
