Zelensky recalled that the Water of Donbass company provides all the Donbass
Zelensky emphasized that we are talking both about rebuilding the existing water supply system and building a new network.
The United Nations can help the Ukrainian authorities finance a project to provide drinking water to Donbass. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a meeting with the UN coordinator in Ukraine Osnat Lubrani, the president’s office said on Saturday, October 24.
“We would like you to pay attention to such an important project that it is very difficult for us to get it out just at the expense of Ukraine’s budget – this is the issue of drinking water for Donbass,” Zelensky said.
He recalled that the Water of Donbass company provides the entire Donbass, not only controlled by the Ukrainian government, but also temporarily uncontrolled.
Zelensky emphasized that we are talking both about rebuilding the existing water supply system and building a new network.
In addition, roads are being actively built and repaired in Donbass, the president noted. So, in the Lugansk region 343 km of roads are being repaired, 300% more than in the total of ten years, said the president.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a speech in the Rada on October 20, said that a package of bills for the reintegration of Donbass was being prepared. He indicated that the reintegration measures will also include amnesty, however, he urged not to be afraid of it.
