UFC lightweight championship belt up for grabs

“Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi on October 24 will be the scene of a great mixed martial arts tournament – UFC 254. The main event of the night will bring together UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and interim champion Justin Gagey. We will conduct an online battle between Nurmagomedov and Gage.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is 32 years old. In mixed martial arts, he fought 28 fights and won all of them. He began his career on September 13, 2008 in Poltava, where he defeated Vusal Bayramov ahead of schedule. Four years later, he made his UFC debut, defeating Kamal Shalorus ahead of schedule.
He won the vacant UFC belt on April 7, 2018, defeating Al Iaquinta by decision. He defended his belts in a duel against Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.
Justin Gage is 31 years old. In mixed martial arts, he spent 24 fights: 22 wins and 2 losses. The debut took place on August 20, 2011, when he knocked out Kevin Crum in one minute. He suffered two defeats in a row, by Eddie Alvarez (12/2/2017) and Dustin Poirier (04/14/2018). He became interim champion in May of this year when he knocked out Tony Ferguson. Initially, Khabib was supposed to fight Ferguson, but was unable to fly to the United States due to the coronavirus pandemic.
