In Donbas, separatists fired at positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

In Donbas, the separatists violated the ceasefire, the situation in the JFO area is still controlled by the Ukrainian army. This was reported by the press center at the JFO headquarters on Friday, October 23.

The separatists fired at Ukrainian positions near the Shumy settlement. The fire was opened with small arms. The rest of the sections along the demarcation line are quiet.

“The Ukrainian military continues to carry out tasks as planned, strictly observing the peace accords,” it was reported.

As a result of the shelling, not a single Ukrainian soldier was injured.

Let us recall that Ukraine advises the Russian Federation to re-control the ceasefire in Donbas. Members of illegal armed groups wearing armbands with the JCCC inscription have no right to replace Russian officers, a representative from Ukraine said.

Ukraine was also reported to have mentioned the reason for stopping negotiations on Donbass. During the last two weeks, the OSCE mission reported the identification of 95 weapons deployed in violation of the withdrawal lines.
