A man desecrated the Alley of Heroes of the Hundred Celestials in Kiev
A student from one of the capital’s universities explained his actions to the police because he was drunk.
In Kiev, police detained a 21-year-old student on suspicion of vandalism in the Alley of Heroes of the Hundred Celestials. This was announced on Friday, October 23, by the press service of the Kiev police.
“As a result of the operational search measures, agents of the Pechersk police department, on suspicion of having committed the aforementioned crime, detained a 21-year-old third-year student from one of the capital’s universities,” it was reported.

The detainee explained his actions to the police due to the fact that he was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
As part of the pre-trial investigation initiated under the Vandalism article, the police establish all the circumstances and motives for the incident. The sanction of the article provides for the sanction in the form of a fine of one thousand to two thousand minimum non-taxable income of citizens or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of freedom for up to five years.
