Protests in Warsaw against the abortion ban
The Constitutional Court of Poland made a decision that almost amounts to a total ban on the termination of pregnancy in the country.
In Warsaw last night, October 22, a massive protest took place over the decision of the Constitutional Court, which strengthens the prohibitions on abortion. Reported by RMF 24.
About a thousand people gathered to protest under the building of the Constitutional Court. During the protests, the Warsaw police arrested 15 people.
The situation worsened after midnight. The police announced that they would take drastic measures, clashes broke out. The police used tear gas, the protesters stoned the police.
Yesterday, the Polish Constitutional Court ruled that abortion for fetal defects is contrary to the Constitution, thus establishing a legal norm that amounts to an almost complete ban on the termination of pregnancy in the country.

We will remember that in Poland demonstrations against the abortion ban are held more than once. Hundreds of women are demanding that the government lift restrictions on abortion.
It was also reported that the Polish parliament adopted at first reading a bill on material incentives for mothers who decided to maintain the pregnancy even if the fetus has a congenital pathology.
