Ukraine does not plan to introduce a strict quarantine, despite the daily confirmation of 6-7 thousand new cases of coronavirus. Severe restrictions can completely stop the country’s economy.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with four television channels, reports TSN.

He added that maximum efforts are now being devoted to the issues of additional medical equipment, medical support and number of doctors.

Earlier, Zelensky reported that Ukraine could return to strict quarantine if the number of new coronavirus cases exceeds 9.5 thousand cases per day.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health reported that the introduction of a blockade is considered only as a backup option. According to Health Minister Maxim Stepanov, a strict quarantine in Ukraine is now impossible.

Recall that during the last day in Ukraine for the first time more than 7 thousand new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. In total, since the start of the pandemic, 322,879 people have sickened. Now almost 182 thousand patients are still active patients in the country.
