The Russian vaccine has not passed the registration in the EU, USA, Canada, highlight in the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Health, no applications have been received for state registration of the Russian Gam-Kovid-Vak vaccine in accordance with the established procedure.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Health does not intend to buy or receive Russian vaccines against coronavirus. This is stated in the statement from the Ministry of Health.

“Any assumption about possible negotiations on the purchase of Russian vaccines has no basis at the legislative level,” emphasizes the Ministry of Health.

There are currently no negotiations on this issue, the ministry said. The Ministry of Health also claims that no requests have been received for state registration of the Russian Gam-Kovid-Vak vaccine in the prescribed manner.

Furthermore, according to the information available, this product was also not subjected to examination and registration with the competent authorities of the United States, Switzerland, Japan, Australia, Canada or the EU, which in fact makes it impossible to purchase and use it in Ukraine, ”explained the Ministry of Health.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has admitted the possibility of supplying Ukraine with a coronavirus vaccine if the Ukrainian government wants to negotiate on this issue.

Ukraine’s Health Minister Maxim Stepanov did not rule out the purchase of the Russian coronavirus vaccine if it is approved by the World Health Organization.
