Only two players from Madrid received the two highest stars for their team in this game: Thibaut Courtois and Luca Modric. Shakhtar gave such an evaluation to Dodo, David Khocholava, Valeriy Bondar, Viktor Kornienko, Maikon and Marlos. Match referee Srdjan Jovanovic also received two stars.
But the best players in the match, according to Marca, were Marcos Antonio, Tete and Manor Solomon, all of whom were given three stars.
