The District Administrative Court of the city of Kiev registered a lawsuit against the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in connection with a vote in the polling stations.
This was reported by the OASK press service.
“The District Administrative Court of the city of Kiev is requested to declare illegal the announcement of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, about the conduct of a popular poll on October 25, 2020 in polling stations. A resident of the region of Ivano-Frankivsk has filed a lawsuit against the president, “the statement said.

Among the other requirements of the lawsuit is to force Zelensky to refrain from taking action regarding the appointment and conduct of a popular opinion poll at polling stations on October 25.
“Now the court is deciding the question of the opening of proceedings in an administrative case,” the court added.
October 25 survey: what Zelensky offers
- On October 12, Zelenskiy announced that five issues of social importance would be raised with Ukrainians on the day of local elections on October 25.
- This national poll, unlike the referendum, will have no direct legal consequences, the Office of the President said.
- On October 14, Zelenskiy named the first question of the all-Ukraine survey: “Is it necessary to introduce life imprisonment for corruption on an especially large scale?”
- On October 15, he said that the second question would refer to the possibility of creating a free economic zone in Donbass.
- On October 16, Zelensky asked three final questions: “Is it necessary to reduce the number of deputies in the Verkhovna Rada to 300?” “Do you support the legalization of medical cannabis in Ukraine to reduce pain in critically ill patients?”; “Should Ukraine raise the issue of the use of the security guarantees defined by the Budapest Memorandum at the international level?”
