At the Ministry of Health of Ukraine excluded the possibility of buying Russian vaccine of the coronavirus.
As reported on the department’s website, the specified product has not been registered or examined by the competent authorities of various countries.
The Ministry of Health explained that the registration of medicines in Ukraine is carried out on the basis of an application and the results of the examination conducted by the State Center of Experts.
At the same time, a simplified registration is possible, but this applies to medicines that Already registered in the US, Switzerland, Japan, Australia, Canada or the European Union.
“Currently, none of the entities mentioned has received applications for state registration of the Russian Gam-COVID-Vac vaccine in the order specified. Furthermore, this product has also not been examined by the competent authorities of the United States, Switzerland, Japan, Australia , Canada or the EU, which Really makes it impossible to buy and use in Ukraine… Therefore, any assumptions about possible negotiations or consideration of Russian vaccines as a matter of purchase or receipt. they have no basis at the legislative level“, – explained in the Ministry of Health.
The department recalled that Ukraine to receive coronavirus vaccines as part of the COVAX mechanism, which unites more than 180 countries.
“Ukraine entered the list of 92 countries determined by the mechanism for which the company’s vaccines are provided AstraZeneca (UK) and Novavax (US) No charge or below market prices“, – noted in the message.
Earlier, the people’s deputy of the Servant of the People, Alexander Kachura, said that Ukraine is obliged to negotiate with Russia the purchase of a coronavirus vaccine, if its effectiveness is proven.
