A military parade will take place in Kiev on August 24, 2021, on the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. This follows from the decree No. 459/2020 of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, “On the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the independence of Ukraine”, signed on October 21.

The parade, according to the document, will take place in Khreshchatyk.

In addition, on August 24, they plan to hold solemn events and place flowers on the monuments to prominent figures of Ukraine.

The decree provides, among other things, the preparation of social advertising, the issuance of a commemorative coin, a postage stamp dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of Ukraine.

The last time a military parade was held in Kiev on August 24, 2018. 250 teams, 4.5 thousand military personnel and 18 foreign delegations attended, including 300 military personnel from the armed forces of other countries. For the first time, military women passed through Khreshchatyk and aviation was involved. At the parade, in addition to the Ukrainian military equipment, the American Javelin anti-tank missile system was presented.

In 2019 in Independence Day in Kiev The Procession of Dignity passed… He had no military equipment. In addition to military personnel, honorary teachers and athletes were awarded.
