Students in the Red Zone will continue learning at a distance

After the holidays, the format of training in educational institutions will depend on the epidemic area in which the settlement is located.

Schoolchildren in the red quarantine zone after the holidays will remain in distance education. This was announced by the acting head of the Ministry of Education and Science Sergey Shkarlet on Telegram on Wednesday, October 21.

The Ministry of Education seeks to provide large-scale education for children, but now the situation is difficult and requires responsibility, says Shkarlet.

“Children must study full-time and receive a quality education. Depending on the epidemic color of the region, some will start education full-time, others, if it is a” red zone “, will remain at a distance. Unfortunately,” emphasized the head of the ministry.

He added that the ministry will try to provide full-time education to students in grades 1-4 after the break, but students in grades 5-11 will study in mixed or distance formats, depending on the situation of the epidemic.

“We have the best scenario, but we continue to prepare for various challenges,” concluded Shkarlet.

Let us remember that 23 thousand patients are in covid hospitals. During the last day, 1,009 patients with coronavirus or suspected coronavirus were hospitalized.

In addition, the Ministry of Health mentioned the reasons for the worsening of the COVID-19 epidemic in Ukraine. The Ministry claims that the situation in Ukraine is similar to what is happening in the rest of Europe.
