Olga Golubovskaya, head of the Department of Infectious Diseases at the National Medical University, said that from November to January, the situation with the coronavirus in Ukraine will be critical.

In an interview with Ales Batsman, Golubovskaya said that as early as April «everyone will see the problem differently “from the coronavirus pandemic.

«Especially the areas that are already red. And we haven’t even entered the most difficult season yet. From November to January there will be peaks such that everyone will see the light, “predicted the infectious disease specialist.

In his opinion, the irresponsible behavior of people, ignoring masks and social distance, is the result of the state allowing such actions. Golubovskaya believes that responsibility for non-compliance with quarantine measures should be strengthened.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will return to strict quarantine if more than 9.5 thousand cases of coronavirus are recorded every day.

Recall that during the last day, the coronavirus in Ukraine was found in 5469 people, 113 deaths were recorded, 3044 patients were recovered.

In total, as of October 20, 309,107 cases of the disease were registered in the country, 5,786 people died, 129,533 recovered.

According to the analysis of the Kiev School of Economics, up to 10,000 new cases of COVID-19 can be registered daily in Ukraine since November.

According to the forecasts of the World Health Organization, by the end of the year in Ukraine between 7 and 9 thousand new cases of coronavirus infection will be registered every day.

The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the quarantine in Ukraine until December 31. The approach to soften or strengthen quarantine remained adaptive, but the principle of region allocation was changed to strengthen quarantine measures.

The country was divided into four zones according to the level of danger of the spread of the coronavirus. Each has certain restrictions. On October 19, a new distribution of regions by quarantine zones came into force: for the first time, nine regional centers were included in red.
