Kravchuk named Donbass reintegration stages
Leonid Kravchuk believes that the Ukrainian authorities should adopt a package of laws for the successful reintegration of the region.
Leonid Kravchuk, head of the Ukrainian delegation of the Donbas TCG, believes that in order to achieve peace in the east, the Ukrainian authorities must adopt a package of laws on the reintegration of the region. He said this on the air Ukraine 24 on Tuesday 20 October.
Kravchuk added that the issue of reintegration is complex and should include:
-
end the war;
-
the holding of elections in uncontrolled territories;
-
the formation of executive power in uncontrolled territories;
-
adoption of a package of laws of an economic nature (including laws that create conditions for investment and business).
“It is about a wide variety of documents, which includes the period of the war, after the war and the period of inclusion of the uncontrolled territories in the Ukrainian power system,” Kravchuk said.
We will recall that earlier Zelensky announced plans for the reintegration of Donbass. After achieving peace in eastern Ukraine, the head of state intends to begin reintegration, which will include an amnesty.
It was also reported that the OOS announced the launch of a new checkpoint. The opening of the new Happiness checkpoint is scheduled for November 10. The expected traffic capacity is 10 to 15 thousand people.
