The official caused 2.2 billion UAH damage to the budget
The former tax director is suspected of paying 2.25 billion hryvnia in taxes. The name is not called.
The former head of the Tax Service was informed about suspicions of abuse of power and official position, the press service of the Attorney General’s Office reported on Tuesday, October 20.
The pre-trial investigation concluded that the former official illegally canceled the tax notification decision in the amount of 2 billion 246 million UAH. It is noted that with this document, the Large Taxpayers Office of the State Tax Service of Ukraine collected additional rent for the use of mineral resources to one of the largest metallurgical plants in the country.
Therefore, the budget of Ukraine did not receive the indicated amount of unpaid taxes.
At the same time, the official’s name is not called.
Before his dismissal, the Verkhovna Rada supported the draft resolution on the creation of the Temporary Investigation Commission to investigate possible corruption in the departments.
The parliament assumes that due to the transactions of officials of the tax and customs services, the state budget loses 120 billion hryvnia per year.
