Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Budapest official of lack of reaction to diplomatic actions

The Foreign Ministry appealed to law enforcement agencies with a request to evaluate the actions of Hungarian officials.

Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry has repeatedly recorded signs of political unrest by high-ranking Hungarian officials when traveling to the Transcarpathian region. This is stated in a statement from the Foreign Ministry, published on Tuesday, October 20.

“The Foreign Ministry reacts to all these events by diplomatically warning the Hungarian side against the violation of Ukraine’s electoral legislation and attempts to interfere in its internal affairs,” the Foreign Ministry said.

The neglect of official appeals from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine only shows that the Hungarian side has a hidden goal, which is unacceptable in interstate relations, the statement emphasizes.

In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs approached the law enforcement agencies with a request to evaluate the actions of Hungarian officials.

We recall that the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Hungary Dmitry Kuleba and Peter Siyarto agreed at the end of September on the work of three intergovernmental groups on issues of national minorities, education and cross-border cooperation.
