Life support systems on the ISS are malfunctioning
The MCC representative rated the toilet situation as very bad and suggested that a bubble may have formed in the sanitation and sanitation facilities.
The Electron system, designed to produce oxygen, broke down on the Russian segment of the International Space Station. This was announced by the crew members in negotiations with the flight control center, Interfax news agency reported.
“Electron refused again,” cosmonaut Anatoly Ivanishin told a specialist at the flight control center. Later, the crew reported smoke coming from the vacuum cleaner and a toilet malfunction in the Zvezda module.
An MCC representative rated the situation with the toilet as very bad and suggested that a bubble may have formed in the sewer and toilet fixture. The station team is now trying to fix the problem.
Recall that earlier the ISS air leak in the Russian Zvezda module was temporarily stopped.
For the first time, the oxygen production system on the Russian segment of the ISS went out of service several days ago. Later, the flight control center said that in such a case the station has an emergency oxygen supply.
