In Minsk, on Monday, two marches of retirees are held simultaneously: supporters of the dictator Alexander Lukashenko and his opponents.

According to the Belarusian Radio Liberty service, both columns left Independence Square and marched down Independence Avenue towards Yakub Kolas Square: some carried white, red and white flags, others red and green.

The protesters carry signs: “Better life for children and grandchildren”, “Stop beating people, let’s live in peace”, “We are not paid. We hate you for free. “

Soon, participants in the pro-government rally caught up with the protesters.

The pro-government column walked in parallel with the protesters along the road.

Lukashenka’s supporters shout: “For Belarus”, to which protesters reply: “Without Lukashenka!” Belsat writes.

According to Radio Svaboda, Lukashenka’s supporters began to disperse after they laid flowers at the Obelisk of Victory.

The arrests have yet to be reported. In the last march of the Pensioners on October 12, the security forces used tear gas and stun grenades against the protesters.

After that, the people of Minsk began to block roads and form a chain of solidarity.

After a massive fraud in the presidential elections in Belarus, protests and strikes began across the country. Protest actions against the false victory of Alexander Lukashenko are carried out during the third month. Belarusians are demanding new and fair elections and the release of political prisoners.

In a brutal crackdown on anti-government demonstrations, at least four protesters were killed. Thousands of people were arrested.

On September 23, Alexander Lukashenko was sworn in as President of Belarus for a new term. The opening ceremony was held in secret. Most countries did not recognize Lukashenko as the reelected president of Belarus.
