Director of FC Obolon Alexander Reznichenko commented on the changes in the “brewers” training bridge, as a result of which the Kiev team was led by Pavel Yakovenko instead of Valery Ivashchenko.
“After the resignation of Valery Ivashchenko, we considered half a dozen possible candidates for the vacant position. We opted for Pavlo Yakovenko, although he did not train for a long time. However, the club’s management was confident in his professionalism, decency and ability to work with the shift, which he proved, leading the Ukraine youth team.
Our second team, in which mostly young footballers play, is represented in the Second League. And we really look forward to your progress. Despite a poor start to the championship, Obolon’s task for the season remains the same: promotion. Gennady Litovchenko and Valery Ivashchenko, who have been working on the structure of our club for a long time, will help Pavel Yakovenko to achieve this goal, another footballer known in the past, and then known in the field of coaches, ”Reznichenko said.
