On Tuesday October 20, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will address the Verkhovna Rada with his traditional annual message, where he will answer questions posed by parliamentarians and society.
This was stated at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and committee chairs by the first deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada, the presidential representative in parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk, reports UNIAN.
According to him, the planned message from the head of state to parliament will be carried out “in full compliance with the regulations of the Rada.”
In particular, Zelensky’s speech will describe the main provisions of the state of the external and internal situation in Ukraine, as well as the answers “to many questions that have been posed especially recently.”
Please note that the President’s message will last approximately one hour. Parliament Speaker Dmitry Razumkov added that in addition to the head of state’s appeal, the Verkhovna Rada will offer to listen to Health Minister Maxim Stepanov.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, Vladimir Zelensky’s message to the Rada was due to be delivered in April, but the event was postponed due to the worsening epidemiological situation with the coronavirus.
