In Ukraine, since the start of the pandemic, the coronavirus has already been confirmed in 303,638 people. During the day, 4,766 new cases of infection were confirmed.
This is evidenced by data from the National Defense and Security Council.
Most new coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Kharkiv (595), Kiev (385), Odessa (350), Zhytomyr (308) and Lviv (259) regions.
During the day, 25,739 tests for coronavirus were carried out. Of these, 22,543 studies were performed by PCR and 3,196 by ELISA.
In total, 5 673 (+66) people have already died from complications caused by COVID-19 in the country. 126 489 (+1 112) people have already recovered. 171,476 patients remain active patients.
As a reminder, 59.8% of hospital beds for patients with suspected or confirmed coronavirus are already occupied in Ukraine. At the same time, the quarantine can be weakened only in the Kirovograd region, other regions do not meet the requirements of the Ministry of Health.
It was also reported that in Ukraine more than 75% of coronavirus deaths were among people over 60 years of age.
In addition, RBC-Ukraine wrote that in December in Ukraine there may be 400 thousand active patients with COVID-19, if the current dynamics of incidence continues. During the last two weeks, the number of active patients has increased by approximately 30%.
