Coronavirus batch of “Remdesivir” is already being transported to Ukraine
The drug was bought by Ukraine’s state-owned Medical Procurement company, the chief medical officer said.
The state’s chief health officer, Viktor Lyashko, said the drug Remdesivir, which was planned to treat coronavirus patients, had already been purchased and the shipment was being transported to Ukraine. On Sunday, October 18, he announced it in an interview with Radio Liberty.
“And now it is being transported to the territory of Ukraine, so it will appear in the near future,” said the medical director.
According to him, this is a drug that was the first to show that during its use: the duration of a person’s stay in hospital treatment decreases, the number of deaths decreases “.
Earlier, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov urged doctors not to prescribe antibiotics to COVID-19 patients in advance, as this could harm subsequent treatment.
Recall that Lyashko also mentioned the conditions to return to a difficult blockade.
The Health Ministry ordered tests for several diseases at once. So PCR tests will determine the presence of five diseases: coronavirus and various types of flu.
