In Ukraine, during the last day, 5,231 new cases of coronavirus disease were confirmed. Most of the new cases are found in the Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Sumy, Lviv and Kiev regions.
This is evidenced by data from the National Defense and Security Council.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 298,872 people have already been infected with the coronavirus. At the same time, 125,377 people, including 1,264, were recovered yesterday.
5,607 people (+90) died of illness in the country throughout the time. 167,888 people are still infected.
We will remember, it was previously reported that in December in Ukraine there may be 400 thousand active patients with coronavirus, if the current dynamics of incidence continues. During the past two weeks, the number of active patients has increased by approximately 30%.
Also RBC-Ukraine wrote that hospital beds in the country for patients with suspected coronavirus disease are already 62.3% full.
In addition, the Ministry of Health is in favor of increasing fines for violating the quarantine.
