In Kropyvnytskyi, on Saturday, October 17, a strong hurricane destroyed the walls of houses, demolished roofs, cut cables, external structures of buildings, downed trees and fences. Three people were injured due to bad weather.
A commission on emergency situations and technogenic and ecological safety (TEB and ES) was quickly convened in the city. This was announced by the head of the Kirovograd Regional State Administration, Andrei Nazarenko, on Facebook.
“The hotline receives a lot of calls. The Kropyvnytskyi city commission of TEB and emergency situations will meet at 16:00. They will adopt a plan of action … Emergency workers, police, gas workers and other services are already working, “he wrote on October 17.
Three people were injured due to bad weather, writes the local newspaper “Grechka”.
According to eyewitnesses, the natural disaster looked like a tornado. The neighborhoods were the ones that suffered the most Lelekivka and Balashovka.
The mayor of Kropyvnytsky, Andrey Raikovich, arrived at the scene. He promised that people who have nowhere to spend the night will be offered a place in the “Turista” hotel.
