The boxers have passed the traditional weigh-in procedure before the fight for the title of the absolute world champion.
Vasily Lomachenko, the WBA, WBO and WBC franchise lightweight world champion, will have a unification fight against IBF titleholder Teofimo Lopez. The title of absolute world champion will be played.
On the eve of the confrontation, the traditional weigh-in ceremony took place. And the American and the Ukrainian showed the same weight: 135 pounds or 61,235 kg, which is the limit for the lightweight division.
After the weigh-in, a battle of opinions took place. At first, the boxers looked at each other closely, and then Lopez tried to provoke Lomachenko by saying something to him. However, Vasily did not react to the provocation and responded to his opponent with a smile.
Note that the rules were violated during the battle of views, which were introduced due to the coronavirus. Then the boxers were too close to each other, as in a traditional battle of points of view, but now this is prohibited.
