More than 5 million hectares have been illegally privatized in Ukraine

In 2001, free privatization was introduced and “theft” of land in Ukraine began, said the head of State Geocadastre.

In Ukraine, since the beginning of independence, more than 5 million hectares of land have been illegally converted into private property through the mechanism of free privatization. This was stated by the head of the State Geocadastre Roman Leshchenko on the air of Savik Shuster’s Freedom of Expression program on Friday 16 October.

“In the course of the audit and inventory of agricultural land in Ukraine, we informed the president in real time about the scale of the theft of Ukrainian land since independence … More than 5 million hectares of state-owned agricultural land in Ukraine they have been withdrawn into private property through the mechanisms of so-called free privatization, “said Leshchenko.

According to him, since 2001, when free privatization was introduced, “theft” of land began in Ukraine, and in 2002 the powers of the communities to dispose of the land were taken away; the right was transferred to the regional state administrations.

“In fact, from 2001-2002, we have formed bureaucratic clans, which, using their administrative resources, formed huge estates in private property, but not in the form of a moratorium, but gave good formulations and reached the apogee of this formulation already since 2010 -2011 – land from a personal peasant farm. This is a non-monetary way: buy, sell, alienate a foreigner. And so we enter the “deriban” regime, which is measured (by area – ed.) European countries on the territory of our state, “continued Leshchenko.

Now we are working on an electronic register of Ukrainian land and in 2021 the data on the illegal seizure will be published.

“We will show everyone in all its splendor: registration, when we obtained it, when there were positions, for those who registered from their relatives, we will show the 5-month-old children, in whom they registered, godparents, brothers, matchmakers. And most importantly We will show latifundia networks established on private property, of hundreds of thousands of hectares, ”the official summarized.

Let us remember that in the Lviv region the deputy is suspected of seizing the lands of the Ministry of Defense. The criminals registered the ownership of the mannequins and sold the land to citizens for $ 5,000 per 0.01 ha.

It was also reported that the head of the state-owned Academy of Sciences extorted $ 200,000. The attacker guaranteed the businessman assistance for the conclusion of an investment activity contract with the subsequent assignment of the land for permanent use.
