During a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, several bilateral agreements were signed. In particular, the parties agreed to cooperation in the field of defense.

This is reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Ukraine’s Defense Minister Andriy Taran and the head of Turkey’s state agency for defense industry Ismail Demir signed an agreement, which states their intentions to jointly build warships, drones and turbine engines.

Another agreement was signed with Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar. The document defines the directions and principles of cooperation, the classified information security regime and the procedure for the exchange of intelligence information.

“We also have a common point of view regarding further cooperation in the field of security and defense, in particular security in the Black Sea and the implementation of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic course,” Zelensky said.

Recall that during Zelensky’s visit to Great Britain, the countries’ defense ministries agreed to jointly build a missile ship. British specialists will arrive in Ukraine in the near future.
