Today in Chernigov, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy officially introduced the newly appointed governor of the region, 29-year-old Anna Kovalenko. The sole governor, with slightly trembling hands, received a certificate on stage during the “Land for the People” forum. And we notice a wedding ring on the finger of our right hand.
The Silovoy Telegram channel reported this afternoon that she recently married the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ruslan Khomchak, 53 years old. It is rumored that the couple hid their romance for about six months, while Anna regularly posted articles about the colonel general on her Facebook page and liked his interview.
The exact date of the couple’s wedding is also unknown. However, according to those close to the family couple, there was no magnificent ceremony, only a formal painting. Perhaps because the military had recently been ill with Covid-19, which was confirmed in him in early September.
Later, the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration confirmed that he had married Khomchak in a comment to Suspilny. Note that this is Kovalenko’s first marriage. Whereas her husband had been married once and divorced in the early 90’s.
