The terrorist was arrested in Odessa and extradited to one of the Central Asian countries, where he comes from.

A member of the terrorist organization Islamic State, wanted by Interpol, was detained in Odessa. This was reported by the SBU on Thursday, October 15.

The security forces received information that a citizen of one of the Central Asian countries involved in terrorism has illegally arrived in Ukraine. Previously, he received training in terrorist camps in the Middle East.

In Ukraine, the attacker planned to organize a transit link for the transfer of militants from different countries to the ranks of ISIS.

“During a special operation, SBU agents detained a foreigner in Odessa. In accordance with the decision of the Attorney General’s Office on extradition by the Security Service of Ukraine, the detainee was escorted and handed over to the competent authorities in his country of origin, “it was reported.

Let’s remember that earlier one of the ISIS leaders was arrested in Kiev. The terrorist is detained for 40 days. The extradition control procedure has already started.

Foreigners who transported ISIS mercenaries were also reported to have been convicted in Ukraine. The perpetrators were sentenced to 10 years in prison. They transported militants to Syria and Iraq.
