iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro significantly lag behind Android flagships in AnTuTu test

Recently, Apple officially announced its new iPhone 12 series smartphones. And although the new items have not yet appeared in the free sale, the first test results of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have already been found at the base. data from the AnTuTu test suite. This allows you to evaluate its “synthetic” performance and at the same time compare it with the results of Android devices.

Both smartphones seen in the AnTuTu database are based on the Apple A14 Bionic processor. It is the first mobile chipset to be manufactured using 5nm process technology. The devices returned a result of about 570 thousand points in the AnTuTu test (564.9 thousand for the iPhone 12 and 572.1 thousand for the iPhone 12 Pro). For comparison, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro smartphone based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor scores more than 687 thousand points in the AnTuTu test. Thus, the total lag of the iPhone 12 relative to Android flagships is about 20%. The most significant gap, over 40%, is seen in the GPU test. In other segments, the lag over the iPhone 12 seems less depressing. Thus, in the memory test, the new Apple smartphones are inferior by approximately 6%. At the same time, the test involved iPhone 12 smartphones in a 4/256 GB memory configuration and iPhone 12 Pro in a 6/128 GB configuration.

At the same time, we can notice a slight increase in performance of the new iPhone 12 with the A14 Bionic chip (5nm) compared to last year’s versions of the iPhone 11 with the A13 Bionic processor (7nm). The iPhone 11 Pro Max scored 536.9 thousand points in the AnTuTu 8 test. Therefore, the iPhone 12 series smartphones are ahead of their predecessors by about 5-6%.
