The Office of the President said that the creation of special economic conditions in the free part of Donbass will significantly affect the pace of reintegration. Therefore, they decided to ask about this in a survey in Ukraine.
This was reported by the OP’s press service.
Zelenskiy believes that this issue can provide an opportunity for an effective reintegration model that unites the region, makes it attractive for business, and restores infrastructure.
“We start precisely from the motivation that the creation of special economic conditions in Donbas, in the free part, will significantly affect the pace and concept of effective reintegration. Of course, if the Ukrainians support it,” the statement said.
At the same time, the OP stated that it was aware of the influence of propaganda on people living near the demarcation line. There is also the risk of an escalation before unemployment.
“Consequently, attracting leading companies to Donbass, fueling economic development through large-scale partnership programs can also become a tool to dismantle any negative impacts of the occupying force,” the statement said.
As a reminder, on October 25 a vote will be held in Ukraine at polling stations and Ukrainians will be asked to answer five questions. One of them will refer to the creation of an economic zone in Donbas.
