Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said the government will extend the quarantine in Ukraine until the end of the year. In addition, the resolution on quarantine restrictions will be modified.
He said this at a government meeting.
Shmyhal noted that this is the most effective mechanism to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
“Today’s government will extend the adaptive quarantine until the end of the year. This is a necessary step to ensure a safer environment for Ukrainians,” he said.
As RBC-Ukraine wrote, the Ministry of Health recommended extending the quarantine in the country until December 31.
Note that 5,133 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Ukraine. In total, more than 270 thousand people have fallen ill in the country.
According to the Ministry of Health, in four regions of Ukraine, more than 70% of hospital beds are filled with coronavirus patients.
Previously, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave a series of instructions regarding the increase in the incidence of the coronavirus.
We will recall, in August, that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended the quarantine in the country until October 31. Since then, the situation with the coronavirus in the country has worsened.
