The question of returning the annexed Crimea remains open to Ukraine. This topic is closed only to residents of the Kremlin.
This was stated in a briefing by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba.
He noted that the question of the return of Crimea will be open to Ukraine until the peninsula returns to the state it had before February 2014.
“The issue of Crimea is closed exclusively in the minds of Kremlin residents. For the rest of the world and for the Russians themselves, who are not burdened with propaganda clichés, the issue of Crimea remains open until I return to Ukraine.” Kuleba said.
The minister added that Russia continues its aggression against Ukraine. So, on October 14, an illegal recruitment campaign is 12 planned in Crimea. Furthermore, such a campaign is a war crime and is expressly prohibited by international humanitarian law.
“On the crimes committed by the Russian Federation in Crimea, all are properly documented, recorded, and of course, the time will come when everyone will join the case and Russia will take responsibility for them,” Kuleba said.
Let us remind you that in early October Russia began another compulsory military service in Crimea. Then Ukraine voiced a strong protest regarding the violation of international law.
Furthermore, Ukraine was reported to have accused Russia of sending residents of occupied Crimea to Donbas to participate in hostilities against the Ukrainian army.
