Today, October 12, Greece criticized Turkey for another shipment of a reconnaissance ship to disputed waters in the eastern Mediterranean. Ankara responded by saying that Greece has no right to protest exploration work 15 km off the Turkish coast.

Reported by Kathimerini.

“Turkey has shown that it cannot be trusted. All those who believed that Turkey was serious about everything it said before the European summit on October 1-2 are now changing their minds,” said Greek government spokesman Stelios. Petsas.

Earlier on Monday, Turkey issued a maritime warning conclusion that it plans to send the research ship Oruc Reis to the region, prompting strong criticism from Greece.

Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said the criticisms of Greece are baseless accusations, having nothing to do with international law.

“It is unacceptable that there is opposition against our country, which has the longest coastline in the eastern Mediterranean and operates 15 kilometers from its mainland,” the Turkish ministry said in a statement.

As a reminder, on October 1, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced the creation of a mechanism to resolve the conflict between Turkey and Greece.

Also earlier, Greece announced its readiness to a war with Turkey for oil in the Mediterranean.
