Anatoly Bondarenko commented on the epidemiological situation in Cherkasy
The mayor of Cherkassy on the orange list refuses to introduce proper quarantine measures, considering them premature.
Cherkasy city authorities refuse to impose restrictions on the “orange” quarantine zone. This was announced on Monday, October 12, by the mayor of Cherkasy, Anatoly Bondarenko.
According to him, 67 people with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 are now in hospitals in the city, of which 48 are residents of Cherkassy.
“About the introduction of the” orange “zone in our city, I think it is premature. In my opinion, there are not enough patients to enter the” orange “zone. Also, many people who are not residents of Cherkasy are treated in the Cherkasy hospitals “. Bondarenko said.
He added that the city will not restrict the work of companies and institutions.
“Regarding the restriction of the work of enterprises and institutions, first of all, you must comply with sanitary standards, you must adhere to personal hygiene products and work calmly, live calmly,” said the mayor of Cherkasy.
Bondarenko also noted that schools will not transfer to distance education in the city, at least until the holidays.
We will remember, from midnight on October 12 in Ukraine for two weeks a new epidemic zoning began to operate.
In addition, the Ministry of Health updated the list of countries in the “red” zone, to which 46 countries were attributed, while the “green” three times more – 147, including Ukraine.
