On Sunday, October 11, in Greece, an unknown person attacked the former president of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili.
This was reported by the Mtavari television channel.
Saakashvili came to Athens to meet emigrants from Georgia there and tell his followers about his future plans in his homeland. At the entrance of the building where the events occurred, the politician was waiting for his opponents.
One of them tried to attack Mikhail Saakashvili, a fight broke out, as a result of which several people were injured. The attacker managed to escape.
We will recall that the head of the executive committee of the National Reform Council of Ukraine, Mikhail Saakashvili, announced at the end of August that he was returning to Georgia.
And in early September, the Georgian opposition announced its intentions to nominate Saakashvili for the post of prime minister in the event of victory in the elections.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s Ministry of Justice said Saakashvili will be imprisoned in his homeland.
