It is already planned to install an American toilet in Tranquility later.

Astronauts on the International Space Station use a different toilet, in the US module.

On the International Space Station (ISS) in the Russian segment, a toilet broke. On Saturday, October 10, RIA Novosti reports.

It is specified that the malfunction occurred in the Russian Zvezda module. After the astronauts complained, experts from the Mission Control Center advised them to “leave everything as it is for now” and wait for instructions from the developers of the sanitary and sewage device.

Until now, Russian cosmonauts use the toilet in the American segment, also made in Russia.

It is known that the Cygnus freighter brought another toilet, made in the United States, in October; it is planned to be installed at Tranquility, on the US segment of the ISS.

A crew of two Russian cosmonauts, Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Wagner, and American astronaut Christopher Cassidy are currently working on the ISS.

It was previously reported that the US National Space Agency (NASA) will launch the Northrop Grumman Cygnus private cargo spacecraft, which will deliver science experiments, cosmetics, food for the crew and a new space bath to the ISS.

Furthermore, Korrespondent wrote that Russian cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station are preparing to drink water, which is obtained as a result of processing urine.
