Belarusian opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya phoned her husband for the first time in the past four months. This happened after Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s meeting with his supporters at the KGB remand center.

“We just had a phone conversation between Svetlana Tikhanovskaya and her husband Sergei from prison. This is the first conversation in 4 months. Sergei Tikhanovsky said that he follows all the news and that we must be tougher and continue meeting with foreign leaders,” he says the message.

You can tell that for Sergei the call was a surprise. In addition, Franak Vyachorka, Tikhanovskaya’s adviser, said that someone was in the room with Tikhanovsky, so the spouses mainly spoke about the children and Sergei’s detention in prison.
