The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced a new anti-record for the daily increase in the number of people infected by coronavirus. During the day, 383,359 COVID-19 patients were identified in the world.

The rate of increase in cases is becoming the highest for the entire pandemic for the third day in a row. On the eve of the coronavirus, it was registered in 355,244 people, and on October 8, in 343,467 inhabitants of the Earth.

Most of the new cases were found in India (73,272) and the US (54,232).

In total, 36,754,395 people were infected with the coronavirus in the world, 1,064,838 died.

We will remember, the WHO said they “have no new answers” to the coronavirus pandemic after a new anti-record was registered in the world.

It was previously reported that the WHO is investigating cases of coronavirus reinfection. For this, the organization has created a special group.

In addition, RBC-Ukraine wrote that Ukraine recorded another anti-record for the increase in coronavirus cases – more than 5.8 thousand.

The head of the World Health Organization office in Ukraine, Jarno Habicht, predicted that the country could have up to 9,000 new cases of coronavirus every day.
