On Saturday, October 10, Belarusian opposition member Svetlana Tikhanovskaya spoke by phone with her husband Sergei, who is in a pre-trial detention center in Belarus. The conversation between the spouses took place for the first time in 4 months.

Note that Sergei Tikhanovsky was a presidential candidate in Belarus. However, the Belarusian regime arrested Tikhanovsky to remove him from the presidential race. Tikhanovsky’s place in the race was taken by his wife Svetlana, who became Alexander Lukashenko’s main rival.
